Ok Jamo, first thing: One word to describe yourself?

'Driven'

How did you first get into fitness & bodybuilding?

I got into bodybuilding when I was 19 years old after losing weight due to non training and stressing while studying to pass my exams.

When did you first go to the USA?

I was discovered by "Musclemag" through 'Photographer Extraordinaire' - Irvin Gelb in 1995. I flew to California to shoot with them and the rest is history.

Was it difficult for you in those early stages in the US?

It has never been difficult for me anywhere I go. I tend to adapt quickly. I love talking to people and make friends easily. If someone doesn't like me, the problem is with them - not me.

Do you enjoy Californian life?

I love it, but I MISS LONDON!
I have personally witnessed firsthand your growing popularity and that of Jamcore Training. Congratulations on the massive success so far.

What ambitions do you have for Jamcore in the future?

JamCore is slowly building up to whole other level! I want to make sure it grows slowly with quality. Our goal is to deliver the best product out there while involving some of the best people in the business. We have just partnered with a company called "CUTTLE media" to have an exclusive 'JamCore fitness' TV channel in all the universities. We have already started with UCLA, USC & UofA the goal is to go all over the states . There's more coming up!

The Jamcore Gym Grand opening looked like an amazing day and you must be so proud. Can you please tell me a little more about this fitness facility?

The facility is private and exclusive. It is where all the magic happens. We mold bodies and change peoples lives. It's also the filming and editing studio for all of the JamCore videos. It has a very unique look and feel and the energy and the synergy is great. When people come in, they say that they don't want to leave.

jamoi-img3.jpg Do you have any plans to open further gyms?

Maybe, but for now, I just want to focus on what I have in my hands and make it perfect.

What do you miss most about your Algeria?

The FOOOOOD!

Do you still train as hard today as you did as a competitive bodybuilder? How has your training altered since those early days?

I still train as hard -but also 'Smart '. I have a new training system that I have created which is the "JamCore training system". It's a mix of core functional training and bodybuilding.

You are in phenomenal physical condition. What motivates you to stay in such great shape?

It's second nature to me . What motivates me is simple …. -I'm the 'product'. I have to be in shape for people to trust me, or trust my work.

You have worked, & continue to work with some top names in the industry. From Julien Greaux to Dorian Yates, Nick Jones etc..

Tell us a little more about some of the clients that you work with –The Miss California Beauty Pageant,The JamCore Physique factory etc…

I love them all. - Dorian Yates - NO NEED TO DESCRIBE! Amazing. We have learned some much from each other. Julien Greaux is like my little brother and I love the guy. Nick Jones is my best "mate" from OZ ! I was the official trainer for Miss California USA in 2010 and 2011. It's where I helped Miss Nicole Johnson win the Californian crown who then went on to do really well at the Miss USA. I have also worked for Alyssa Campanella in 2011.

The JamCore Physique Factory is the bikini and Physique contest prep section is where I prepare hand picked Bikini and physique athletes. I can't take too many people on as I train them and prepare personally. I don't do "cookie cutter" printed training and eating programs. I believe that every physique needs to be trained differently.

Now, my big passion: Describe your typical daily diet.

A high protein diet, low carbs and good fats.

Do you ever have any "cheat meals"?

Once a week if I feel like it. But I love healthy food.

jamoi-img2.jpg
Do you take any supplements and if so, which?

I love pure form amino acids. Glutamine and BCAAs. A good multivitamin and Arginine and Ornithine. I " HATE" stimulants!

I'm sure the Jamcore fans would love to know, what does Jamo Nezzar like to do to relax & unwind/have fun away from business?

I love collecting original comic art work. I'm a part time agent for four artists. I love comics and collecting art work. I also love cooking and traveling . Hopefully making a trip to South Africa soon if I get the chance to get some rest!

A selfish question for me. -Do you have any plans in the future to travel back to London?

London is my backyard and I'll be making a trip there soon God willing of course.

What is the biggest fitness/weight loss/workout/diet myth that you encounter most often within the fitness industry?

"YOU NEED TO DO 45 MINS CARDIO, TWICE A DAY TO GET IN SHAPE!"

jamoi-img1.jpgIf you do that, you are "not" training hard enough! Also cutting carbohydrates completely and going on a high protein and fat diet. –It's totally nuts! I also saw a Bikini prep program, and the things I saw were horrifying! For example, train for 5 hours a day, put creams on your body, put some cellophane on your body, and take a list of stimulants that was endless. The sad thing was, the diet that the girls were on was 2700 calories, if not 'more' with the micro nutrient completely out of wack! They were also made to do some crazy training. They ended up burnt out and completely messed up mentally!

Can you share your top 3 tips for people who want to get into & "stay" in shape?

TRAIN HARD and SMART !
EAT CLEAN !
RECOVER !

Any final words of wisdom?

We were created to move, act and react. The day we stop moving is the day we die! Move your "Arses" people! Nothing beats health.

You have dedicated a great deal of time, effort & your own life into "Jamcore" & I can only see it growing stronger.
Congratulations on your immense success & long may it continue. I am genuinely honored to be part of "Jamcore Training."
