Obi Obadike, Francisca Dennis, Inside Fitness, and Paul Dillett of the WBFF have made history by helping to produce the first Black male and female fitness model couple on the cover of a Canadian Fitness Magazine. Obi and Francisca were featured on the Winter issue of Inside Fitness, which is the #1 fitness magazine in Canada.

Obi Obadike, as you may know, is a major contributor over at our sister site, ClarkBartram.com. His quick rise in the fitness modeling has caused him to receive a lot of attention and we’re sure to see more of him in the future.

In September of this year, Obi was part of the first African-American couple on the cover of a U.S. fitness magazine. He appeared on the cover of Max Sports Fitness Magazine along with our own fitness writer and celebrity trainer Basheerah Ahmed. Second, he was the first African-American male fitness model to land an international supplement ad for Dymatize Nutrition in Sept of 08 and now in December, he made his way onto the cover of Inside Fitness.

Francisca Dennis is a 3 time Oxygen cover girl and mother of six children. She is also an incredible inspiration to many women across the country. Being a mother of 6 kids makes her success story all that more inspiring to moms trying to get or stay in shape.

Having an African American couple on the cover of a Canadian fitness magazine for the first time is an incredible milestone in the fitness industry. With any luck, it will help create more diversity on fitness covers.
Models like Obi and Francisca are helping to pave the way for more African-Americans as well as other minorities that are aspiring to be on fitness covers The magazine will hit all stores December 10th. Congratulations to Obi for having an incredible 2008 year!

Cycling fans everywhere were in for a shock this week as the buzz surrounding cycling champion and cancer survivor and research advocate Lance Armstrong confirmed that he will be returning to professional cycling. The seven-time Tour de France winner has kept himself busy since retiring in 2005.

After three years working tirelessly to promote cancer research and advocacy through his LIVESTRONG foundation, traveling and speaking around the world, penning an autobiography, and spending time with his children and a string of celebrity women, Armstrong will join the Astana cycling team when he makes his comeback.Armstrong says that after his extensive work on cancer prevention, research, and outreach in the United States, he wants to use his return to the world of competitive cycling to promote his cause on the international stage.

Although he hasn’t commented publicly, sports writers are also mentioning that a return from a three-year hiatus may also be designed to prove to critics and cynics once and for all that Armstrong never used performance-enhancing drugs. He’ll be 37 by the time the next Tour de France rolls around. Although no one knows what will happen over the course of the next year, one thing’s for certain: we’ll all be tuning in to watch that race.

Okay everyone, after some deep thinking and some planning we are ready to take the JamCore Training philosophy and community to the next level. We have a vision to create an awesome new fitness community with so many features it will amaze you. I always wanted a place where health and fitness minded people could get together and really create a meaningful community. I also wanted a place where new people could go and learn about health and fitness and get support from a community without being intimidated by hardcore bodybuilders and product driven websites. Even professional bodybuilders stay away from most of those sites!

We are now in the beta development stage of a community that we can all be a part of! It’s a free fitness community called MyFitTribe.com. It includes everything that we started with the JamCore Training web site and so much more. I will give you a brief description of a few of the many features, but wanted to say that I am really excited that we all have a place dedicated to improving our lives.
