Mind over Muscle (post 4 of 4)

Mentally visualize the person you are going to become and keep that as your focus and drive, each and every day you train. Imagine what you’ll look like and how you’ll feel when you get there. Don’t lose sight of that because that’s what going to keep you fueled everyday you do your cardio, hit the weights and make your meal choices. Surround yourself around people who share your interest, because these are the people who will be an integral part in making your vision into a reality.
CELEBRATE AND REWARD
Finally and most importantly, being and staying healthy is also about having fun! When you’ve reached the goal that you’ve set out to accomplish, celebrate and reward yourself. Rule of thumb for me is to have a couple of cheat meals a week, this helps you keep you sanity and deters you from falling off the health & fitness wagon. By all means, your reward doesn’t necessarily have to be food either. Buy yourself a new pair of workout shoes to remind you of the new lifestyle you’ve adopted. Remember, although it wont be easy to break away from any bad habits you’ve adopted through the years, just know the improved, healthier version of you awaits you on the other side just waiting to welcome you into another world you’ve only imagined. By taking care of yourself, is a reflection of how you value yourself and in turn how others will value you. Who knows, you may be in a position to have the ability to inspire others as well and that is the ultimate reward and reason to celebrate!
I hope these stories have given you some inspiration to get started with your healthy and fit lifestyle. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
